Paul asked Heather to marry him on New Year's Eve at Heather's favorite place, the Kings' Ranch. Heather has grown up going to hunt, fish, float the river, and hang out at her friend's family's ranch. Paul knew this early in their relationship and knew if he was going to ask her to be his forever teammate he needed to do it at her favorite place. Paul colluded with Heather's best friend to make sure everything was perfect. He even got her parents to hide on the other side of the lake to get pictures. Paul had some flowers hidden to surprise her. The ring was just what Heather wanted, and Paul presented it in a golf ball jewelry box. Heather said she had no clue what was happening and it wasn't until they hugged and she felt his heart beating so fast that she had any kind of clue.

One Friday in September Paul received an unexpected phone call from a recruiter at American Airlines. The next week Paul interviewed and received a job offer from American. He was every excited as he didn't expect to move to the next level in his career for another year or two. Paul's good friend Alex, who works Envoy, one of American's regionals, mentioned Paul's name to a colleague and was able to secure Paul an earlier class slot. Paul started on November 30th, 2022 and will be flying on the Airbus 320 family. He originally received LGA as his base but will be able to move his base to DFW and drive to work within the next year.

Heather has been a Volunteer Fire Fighter at Brookside Village, just 5 minutes from her house. The small town had a community party and Heather got to help show off the fire trucks.
Heather has been working on her fire fighting certifications and will complete them by mid of Dec '22
Paul has wanted to take Heather flying for months and final made it happen one day while she was in Texarkana. After Heather played a practice round of golf we took to the sky and Paul got to show Heather some of his world up in the world. Paul also flew his parents to see and support Heather during the practice round of golf. They greatly appreciated the chance to support Heather and who would turn down a free airplane ride.

Heather and Paul recently took a trip to New Braunfels, TX to float the river and enjoy a relaxing weekend in between our crazy schedules. We stay in a tiny home on the approach end of the New Braunfels' airport and enjoyed watch planes take off and land during the evening. Of course you have to take a picture with Buc-ee when he visits his own store.

As Paul is an avid hunter. He has made many kills over the years. This particular one was a first for him. If you zoom in you will notice an animal wedged into the grill of this car. Yes, you saw right a bat! Paul was driving through the windy roads of Arkansas, on his way to caddy for heather. The next morning we went to practice, and head to lunch after a morning on the course. After we had a belly full of Arkansas “Mexican food” Paul opens the door for heather(as he always does) and walked by the front of the car in utter shock. He finally notices the bat he murdered…I mean accidentally hit. Like many hunting pictures you snap a picture of your kill, so he had to get one with his very first bat kill.
Heather’s parents have season tickets to the Texans Chairman’s Club suite, allowing to watch the game from a great view in the end zone. Heather and Paul bonded over football when they first met and love getting the chance to use the tickets when her parents don’t sell them or go. Paul is always up for a game as he works most weekends and only gets to hear about the fun from Heather and her mom. Not only can you get a great view of the game but we take advantage of the free food and snacks that are plentiful.
